Some Shakespeare in the Park, Brenham style is coming to Hohlt Park this Sunday, ( June 29th.)
A grant from the city of Brenham arranged by attorney Steve Haley will bring a production of the Shakespearean comedy ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at the Bobbie Morrow Dietrich Memorial Amphitheater that Sunday night, free of charge.
The play is being directed by Michael Carter, a drama teacher and director in Houston. He says this play is a delightful, funny, and intense love story about Benedict who has returned from battle and the woman, Beatrice, who he is pursuing. He says however, they are going to update the play, and set it in the 1940s.
Navasota will also have a production of the play at their city hall grounds on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th .
The Brenham production will begin at 6:30pm Sunday and should be over by 8:15.
