WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEET TO APPROVE COUNTRY TRANSPORTATION FUND GRANT PROGRAM

The Washington County Commissioners met this morning and approved a Proclamation expressing appreciation for the County Transportation Infrastructure Fund Grant Program. The State of Texas gave money to the county to improve roads.

Also approved was the appointment of a replacement for Barbara Segal, who’s time on Hotel Occupancy Tax Board two year term ends on December 31st.  Kevin Deramus time on the board is also coming to an end.

Approval was received for the Interlocal Agreement between the Brazos Valley Council of Governments and Washington County for E9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point.

Also renewed for another year is the Agreement between Washington County and Revenue Optimization Solutions, LLC, for professional services necessary to establish and maintain the Washington County/Washington County EMS as an approved provider in the Texas Ambulance Supplemental Payment Program.

The contracts between Washington County and the Court Appointed Special Advocates, Washington County Healthy Living Association, Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District 348, and the Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) Bryan/College Station were all approved during the meeting.

Also approved were the Commissioners’ Court meeting dates for 2015 and the remainder of 2014. There was discussion of moving the January through May meetings to Monday due to the Texas Legislature being in session, and possible conflicts, but the Commissioners decided to keep things as they are, with meetings remaining on Tuesdays.

As for the 2014 meetings, Commissioners will meet every week except for December 30th.
