9-YEAR OLD KILLED IN FAYETTE CO. ATV ACCIDENT
A 9-year-old Fayette County child has died after a 4-wheeler accident near Schulenburg.
Caleb Heger was riding a 4-wheeler on Lidiak Road in the Ammannville area, around noon, Wednesday.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the youngster was alone on the full-size 4-wheeler, when he went down a steep embankment and crashed.
Caleb was taken to St. Marks’ Hospital in LaGrange, where he died a short time later.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 43-percent of the people killed in ATV accidents are children under 12.
