UPDATE – AGGIELAND HUMANE SOCIETY RESCHEDULES “WIENER FEST 2017”
UPDATED 2:45 PM FRIDAY Aggieland Humane Society announced this (Friday) afternoon that due to expected threatening weather, “Wiener Fest” has been rescheduled to next Sunday, October 29th.
The popular festival for wiener dogs was set for this Sunday at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station, but will now be held on October 29th from 10:00 ‘til 4:00. Boot Camp practice for the wiener dog races has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 28th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Wiener Fest will kick off on October 29th with a wiener dog costume contest at 10 a.m. There are fun activities scheduled throughout the day, with the popular Wiener Dog Races beginning at 12 noon. Wanna Be Wiener Dog races start at 1:15, and special races for Senior Weiner Dogs, special Olympics and special races begin at 2:00. Several food vendors will be on site for Wiener Fest including C&J Barbecue, Der Wienerschnitzle, kettle corn and snow cones. There will also be many pet related vendors, live entertainment and a kids zone.
