BLINN ALUMNI AND FRIENDS TO HOST RECRUITING EVENT IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

  

The Blinn College Alumni & Friends Association will host an Eat, Drink, & Join recruiting event Thursday, Feb. 23, to celebrate the organization and the College.

The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Home Sweet Farm, located at 307 S. Park St. in Brenham.

“This marks our first true community-wide recruitment event to bring new members into our association,” said Dr. Kyle Merten, alumni relations director. “We hope this event allows us to share the excitement and passion of the Alumni Association with new friends and current members.”

The event is open to the public and is not limited to former students. There will be light appetizers and drinks available. Blinn’s cheer and dance teams and jazz band will perform.

“Whether you went to Blinn or not, we want you to be involved in this very important organization,” said Jim Kolkhorst, Alumni & Friends President. “Joining the Alumni & Friends Association is the perfect start to getting involved with Blinn.”

Blinn’s Alumni & Friends Association maintains contact with former students, encourages support for and participation in the College’s educational, cultural, athletic and social programs, encourages student recruitment and assists the College in achieving its goals and objectives.
