BRENHAM ATTORNEY ROBBIE GAIL CHARETTE HONORED THURSDAY

  

Brenham attorney Robbie Gail Charette was honored by the Lone Star Legal Aid organization Thursday morning.  Charette received an award for handling the most pro bono legal cases in Washington County for veterans and victims of violent crimes.  She was presented the award by Melinda Lopez of the Lone Star Legal Aid Bryan Office during a ceremony at the Courthouse Gazebo.  The award is part of the National Pro Bono Celebration taking place this week.

In commemoration of National Pro Bono Celebration (October 22-28), Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) honors Robbie Gail Charette, J.D., CPA, LLM, Sole Practitioner at the Law Offices of Robbie Gail Charette, with the Most Cases Handled Award. The Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono Award recognizes attorneys, law firms, community partners, and individuals who donate their time and legal expertise to ensuring that all residents within Brazos and surrounding counties have equal access to the courts.

Robbie Gail Charette was formally recognized on October 26, 2017 by Lone Star Legal Aid’s Bryan office with a certificate of appreciation from LSLA and Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman, court liaison for the Texas Access to Justice Commission.  The ceremony was held at the gazebo located on the Washington County Courthouse’s property in Brenham, Texas with Chief of Police Craig Goodman opening in prayer. Judge Brieden, law enforcement officers, professionals, family, and residents of the community were in attendance.

Most Cases Handled Award

LSLA presents Robbie Gail Charette with the Most Cases Handled Award in recognition of her contributions in fostering access to justice for Washington County’s most vulnerable residents. The Most Cases Handled Award is awarded to attorneys and law firms who handle the most pro bono cases in their county or specific area of law.

Robbie Gail Charette has earned this award for being the attorney in Washington County who has not only accepted the most pro bono cases in general, but also for handling the most cases for veterans. This year she has accepted 4 pro bono cases for full representation. Additionally, in honor of Veteran’s Day, Robbie Gail Charette is opening her office doors located at 214 East Main Street, Brenham Texas, 77833 to host a legal clinic for veterans on November 9, 2017 from 1:30pm – 4:30pm.  Veterans needing legal help are invited to attend this free legal advice clinic and apply for LSLA services. All veterans welcome to stop by for coffee, cake, and a thank you!
