BRENHAM CLINIC TO CELEBRATE 60 YEARS THIS SUNDAY

  

The Brenham Clinic will be hosting a special event this Sunday to commemorate their 60th anniversary.

The anniversary event will be held this Sunday in the main lobby at 600 N. Park Street, from 1-3 p.m. Administrator Gracie Slattery says it is open to the public and they will have a variety of food and entertainment for all ages:

Slattery says a highlight of the event will be recognition of retired physicians, employees, families of the community, and the over 30 specialists and primary care physicians at the clinic.

"It is exciting to be able to recognize our physicians for their service to the community, as well as celebrate the services now available right here at home, such as Dr. Donald Draehn, specializing in pediatrics who has served our communities children for over 40 years" says Slattery. "It is also important for us to recognize our employees, present and past, who worked along with physicians to achieve the success of a multi-specialty Clinic."

The clinic opened its doors in 1957 at 600 N. Park Street and was built to address the healthcare needs of the community. An early history of the hospital credits Dr. W.F. Hasskarl, Sr., Dr. Thomas H. Giddings and Dr. W.F. (Boy) Hasskarl, Jr. with spearheading the effort.
