BRENHAM MAN CHARGED AFTER FLEEING POLICE
A Brenham man faces charges after he reportedly tried to flee officers Tuesday night.
Authorities say they tried to stop 24-year old Jose Esteban Vega-Giron at the 1500 block of Highway 290 West.
Just after 10:00 p.m., Officer Kejan Mehlhorn tried to stop Vega-Giron in the 1500 block of Hwy 290 West. Vega-Giron reportely continued traveling to Hampshire drive, jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
After a brief foot chase Mehlhorn was able to arrest Vega-Giron with assistance from Blinn Police Department.
Vega-Giron is charged with Evading Arrest, Evading Arrest with Vehicle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
