Cpl. Lance Weiss on Sunday was dispatched to the 2200 block of S. Market on Sunday around 11:35am for a report of a welfare concern.

When Weiss arrived, Sgt. Curtiss Schoen and Officer Heather Sowders were talking to a female subject, whose speech was slurred and was speaking incoherently.

During a search of the room for the woman’s identification, officers found crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

EMS cleared the woman, thirty-two year old Pamela Sue Milner of Brenham, and she was arrested. During the search at the jail, more narcotics were found on her.

Milner was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance/items in detention facility and possession of marijuana under 2oz.

Friday around 11:30pm, Officer Sierra Newell found a vehicle parked at Hohlt Park after the park was closed.  Newell made contact with the driver and passenger, whose stories were not consistent about why they were at the park.  Newell asked the female passenger to step outside the car, and when she did, Newell could smell marijuana on her.  Newell asked for permission to search the vehicle, and after the female gave consent, marijuana was found in the car.  The male passenger, twenty-eight year old Larry Allen Hayes, of Schulenburg, was charged with possession of marijuana under 2 0z.

Friday around 1:30pm, Officer Kevin Mertz responded to the 500 block of E Blue Bell Road in reference to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. He met with the caller, who was escorting a female subject outside the building.

The employee said the woman, forty-three year old Corisa Shanel Johnson, of Brenham, had stolen some items from the store. Her vehicle was parked in front of the store with the male subject in it.

Officer Ashley Burns said she saw something in the man’s sock. When the man, forty-year old Keith Bernard Allen, of Somerville, was searched, officers found marijuana in his sock.  Both subjects were arrested.  The total around stolen was $52.  Johnson was charged with theft under $500  Allen was charged with possession of marijuana.

Also on Friday, around 10:20 am, Officer Kevin Mertz conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Highway 105.

The driver, thirty-four year old Eric Deshawn Morgan, of Independence, was found to have an invalid driver’s license and admitted to having marijuana in the car.

During a search, Mertz also found narcotics, as well as prescription drugs not prescribed to him.

Morgan was charged with possession of marijuana under 2oz, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, and driving while license invalid.
