BRENHAM TEEN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING OFFICER
A Brenham teen faces charges after allegedly assaulting an officer while trying to run away.
Saturday night, Sergeant Steven Eilert and Officer Sierra Newell responded to a disturbance in 500 block of Gayhill Street.
At the location, officers say a 14-year old girl was trying to run away.
During the call, the girl allegedly assaulted one of the officers while they attempted to prevent her from running away.
She also further resisted arrest and transport from officers, and was subsequently arrested and transported to a juvenile detention center for holding.
She was charged with Assault of a Public Servant and Resisting Arrest.
