BURN BAN QUESTION ON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA, TUESDAY
A possible Washington County burn ban will be up for discussion when Washington County commissioners meet Tuesday morning.
After a lengthy discussion last week, commissioners tabled action on a burn ban, urging responsibly by local residents who choose to burn.
County officials report several grass fires since last week’s meeting.
County Judge John Brieden said a burn ban would be revisited at this week’s commissioners’ court meeting.
Also on Tuesday’s agenda:
Commissioners will consider a request from Precinct Four Justice of the Peace Bill Kendall to install a protective glass security wall in his office.
Award a bid for a new Road and Bridge Department truck-tractor.
Discuss pipeline crossings in Precinct Four and Precinct Two.
And, appointment members to the Washington County Salary Review Committee.
County Commissioners meet Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the Washington County Courthouse.
