CONVICTED KILLER REQUESTS NEW TRIAL

A hearing is set for Friday for a Bryan man convicted of murdering a 7-month-old baby.
Talawrence Tennell has filed a motion for a new trial. A hearing for that motion is set for Friday in District Court.
Tennell was found guilty in April and sentenced to life in prison, for the 2015 death of Hailey Burleson, his girlfriend's daughter.
Hailey suffered blunt force trauma, a broken wrist, breaks in her skull and rib fractures.
Investigators say Tennell was high on PCP at the time of the child’s death.
