FAYETTE CO. DEPUTIES MAKE ARRESTS

  

A Houston man has been arrested in Fayette County on a weapon charge.

42-year old Ahmed Youssry Fahmy of Houston was pulled over Wednesday afternoon on State Highway 71 near Airport Road on a traffic stop.

Deputy Michael Otten says he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.  A search turned up a bag of marijuana and a 9-millimeter hand gun.

Fahmy was taken to the Dan R. Beck Detention Center and charged with Unlawful Carrying a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana.

Tuesday evening, just before midnight, Deputy C.J. Lehmann came upon 26-year old Joe Anthony Villanueva of LaGrange walking in the roadway on Highway 77.

Lehmann says he could smell marijuana.  During questioning, Villanueva pulled out a bag of the substance.

He was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
