FINAL STEPS BEING TAKEN FOR HIRING OF SHELTER ADMINISTRATOR

  

City officials say a finalist has been selected for supervisor’s position at the Brenham Animal Shelter.

City officials are not releasing the candidate’s name, pending a complete background check.

City Manager James Fisher says a that process may be finalized later this week.

Interviews began in late January after the opening was posted.

The search was launched after a public outcry over operations at the facility.

The city contracted with Animal Shelter Services to look at the city’s animal shelter and adoption center operations.  That report has not yet been presented to the city council.
