FUGITIVE MISSING SINCE JANUARY 4TH ARRESTED IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

A wanted fugitive is in custody after being detained in Fayette County on Monday.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Autry Futschik III was arrested in the Muldoon area Monday afternoon on a warrant for theft of a property more than $30,000 but less than $150,000.

Futschik had been on the run since January 4th and reportedly made threatening remarks, which prompted an “Armed and Dangerous” bulletin to be issued on him.

Then on Monday, Sgt. Ron Naumann received information on Futschik’s possible whereabouts and an arrest team was organized. Lt. David Beyer responded along with additional Sheriff’s Deputies including Sgt. Thumann and Lobos, Texas State Troopers, and Flatonia Police.

Officers descended on a residence and attempted contact with Futschik, who fled out the back door.  He was later was taken into custody with minor resistance and was found to be armed with two handguns and a knife.

Futschik was then transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and booked on the outstanding warrant. He is being held without bond pending his next court appearance.

Two family members were detained and transported to the Justice Center but were later released without criminal charges.
