HOLIDAY MOVIES AT THE BARNHILL CENTER THIS WEEKEND

The Barnhill Center at historic Simon Theater in Brenham has another weekend of holiday movies coming up.

This Friday night at 7 o’clock, kids can dress in their pajamas to watch the Christmas favorite “The Polar Express” on The Barnhill Center’s big movie screen.  Tom Hanks is the voice of the “Polar Express” conductor as you journey to the North Pole to visit Santa.

On Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be shown.  James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore star in the story about an angel sent from heaven to help a frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

Both “The Polar Express” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” are being presented at The Barnhill Center as part of downtown Brenham’s “Christmas Stroll” celebration this weekend.  Movie tickets are $10 for adults, and $6 for kids age 11 and under, and are available online at www.thebarnhillcenter.com.

  1. Prices are a bit steep for old movies! I get the ambiance of the old theatre etc etc. However, $32 for a family of four is too high!
