KRAUSE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS MEET TEXAS REPTILES

  

The students of Krause Elementary had the opportunity to meet some scaly friends on Wednesday thanks to Teresa Shisk-Saling, Director of The Reptile Hospice and Sanctuary of Texas.

Located in the Brazos valley, the sanctuary is a Texas-based reptile rescue.

Jonni Hart, PPCD teacher at Krause, arranged the visit as an alternative to leaving campus for an end-of-year field trip. “If we can’t get the kids on a field trip, we will bring the field trip to the kids,” said Hart.

Hart’s students joined Shick-Saling and several Krause staff members for an engaging, interactive reptile experience.
