SBA APPROVES OVER $1 MILLION IN LOANS TO THOSE IN WASHINGTON COUNTY
The Small Business Administration reports that it has approved over 1 million dollars in loans for Washington County residents and businesses affected by the May floods.
21 home owners were approved for $790,000 in loans out of 61 applicants. 3 business were also approved for $227,000 in loans out of 8 applicants.
Statewide, the SBA has approved over $83 million in loans for those who received damage in both the April and May floods.
Residents are reminded that August 10th is the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance or a SBA loan for those affected by the May flood. You can apply with the SBA by calling 1-800-659-2955 or go to disasterloan.sba.gov Loans are available for businesses, home owners, and non-profit organizations.
