AGGIE SPORTSWRITER FOUND SAFE IN HOUSTON

Courtney Roland, an A&M football sports reporter, reported missing on Saturday, has been located by Houston Police, after a tip was phoned into authorities.

Her father told the Houston Chronicle she was found safe early this (Monday) morning.

Roland was found under an overpass at the 610 West Loop at Richmond, acting “confused and disoriented”.   She was checked into an area hospital.  Police said at an afternoon news conference, that Roland's disappearance may have been caused by a reaction to medication.

The 29-year old Roland, who covers Texas A&M football for AggieYell.com and Rivals.com, went missing not long after telling a friend late Saturday night that she believed she was being followed.

Investigators found Roland's Jeep Cherokee, Monday morning in a parking lot near the Galleria.  Police say her phone was found inside her Jeep, while her purse with an iPad, computer and credit cards were all found intact inside the Galleria.

Prior to Sunday, friends said on social media that Roland was seen leaving a Team Texas Elite football tryout Saturday about 4 p.m.

Later that night, Roland's roommate said Roland texted her to say she was worried that a blue truck was following her just after leaving a Walgreens.  That was the last friends or family had heard from her.

  1. Ladies, take this as a warring, if you think someone is following you, DO NOT GO HOME, go to a police station or a business that is well lite and call for help or go into the store.
