SOMERVILLE TO HOST DAM LAKEFEST, SATURDAY

  

For the first time in three years the Dam Lakefest returns to Lake Somerville.

The Lakefest had been an annual event until flooding cancelled the last two events.

This year, though, the event is on schedule for Saturday at Welch Park.

As of Tuesday afternoon, over 40 teams had entered the Barbeque Cook Off.

Hearne says the Chamber has planned a full day of fun-filled activities for all ages…

There will also be arts & crafts vendors and food trucks on hand.

Hearne says there are just two rules: no pets and no coolers.  Refreshments will be provided.  Visitors are urged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Tickets are $10 each—children under 10 get in free.  Tickets will be available at the gate or in advance at the Chamber Office.
