SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL SATURDAY IN BELLVILLE

The 19th Annual Austin County Summer Music Festival is set for this weekend at the Austin County Fairgrounds in Bellville.

The event includes an extensive music lineup, the ‘lil wrangler rodeo, mutton bustin’, a 2-day BBQ cook-off, and the renowned Country Showdown.

The Country Showdown is set for 5:00 pm.

The Music lineup includes Easy Money kicking things off at 7 pm, followed by the Triumphs at 9 pm.  Headlining this year will be this year’s winner of the Voice, Sundance Head, who will take the main stage at 11 pm.

The BBQ cook-off will feature a margarita and chef’s choice contest today, complete with awards ceremonies on both days.

Gates open at 3 pm on Saturday, and tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in free, and senior citizens can get in for $15 between 3 and 7pm.

Proceeds from the event go to Austin County Fair Memorial Scholarship Program.
