TEXAS 10-MOST WANTED SUSPECT ARRESTED

  

A Bryan man on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, who has been wanted for more than a year, has been arrested in Houston.

19-year old Roy Edward Arevalo Jr., of Bryan was arrested during a traffic stop.

Arevalo was wanted out of Brazos County on several charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. In September, the reward for Arevalo's capture was raised from $5,000 to $10,000 by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Sheriff Chris Kirk of the Brazos County Sheriff's Office said police in the Houston area pulled Arevalo over Thursday for a traffic violation and discovered he had several warrants out for his arrest.

Arevalo is accused of having conspired with a Brazos County jailer to deliver drugs to his incarcerated father, Roy Edward Arevalo Sr., who was just sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Arevalo Jr. is being held at the Brazos County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
