    1. According to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, “Only the names of those that have been arrested can be released.” KWHI prints all of the names that are released by the DA’s Office.

  1. You’d think 3 strikes an you’re out on those DWI charges…One can only hope they get locked up for a long time.

    1. Your 3rd DWI is a felony. The first 2 are misdemeanors and the most you can do is time in county. Only after you get a 3rd are you even eligible to go to prison, and at most, for 10 years.

    2. That’s not the only hope. It’s not the only hope that they get locked up for a long time! My hope is that they somehow find the rehabilitation and healing necessary to stop making such potentially devastating choices from within our primarily punitive penal system. It is unlikely that these are ‘bad’ people, and very likely that given the time and resources in a safe environment, they can reenter society free of their addiction, free of their past, and really enter into a relationship with their family and community.
