WALLER CO. DEPUTY FIRED FOR ‘INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR’

A Waller County deputy has been fired after he was accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior during an arrest.

Waller County Sheriff’s Deputy Dormic Smith was accused of "inappropriate behavior" after he arrested a Hempstead woman for driving while intoxicated in March.

Smith was fired on Monday after an internal investigation. He had been with the Sheriff’s Office for two and a half years.

According to KPRC, Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith- who is not related to Dormic Smith- said the woman did not come forward herself, but instead told a friend who works in law enforcement about the inappropriate behavior. That friend contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

This follows a string of issues with the Waller County’s law enforcement community that has lead county commissioners to ask Glenn Smith to resign from his Sheriff’s position.

  1. Well at least he got fired….. there are cops that kill innocent men,go to trial, get “justified” in their actions, and go right back to their position. Facts

  2. Why are these officers just fired and not charged with a crime! As I was growing up, I was always taught to respect law enforcement but these days you almost have to be scared of what they will do to you and get away with…it’s a sad world we live in when you can’t even trust law enforcement!
