BLOWN FUSE CAUSES POWER OUTAGES IN WASHINGTON CO. OVER WEEKEND
Power has been restored to over 200 members in northeastern Washington County, after a fuse blew Sunday afternoon.
According to Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative Public Affairs Manager Will Holford, the outage began around 4 p.m. on Sunday and affected approximately 211 members on the Sandy Hill substation. The outage occurred near the intersections of Texas Highway 105 with FM 912 and FM 1155.
As crews patrolled the lines, they discovered a blown fuse, likely caused by lightning. Crews replaced the fuse and restored power to 204 members in about 90 minutes, with the last seven members after two hours.
