INDICTMENT RETURNED FOR APRIL ATTACK ON ELDERLY BRENHAM WOMAN

A Houston man, arrested back in April for injuring a Brenham woman while stealing her purse, has been indicted by the latest Washington County Grand Jury.

26-year old Eric Denzel Latin was indicted Tuesday on a charge of Aggravated Robbery.

Latin and another Houston man were arrested on April 29th after they allegedly attacked an elderly woman in a department store parking lot and stole her purse.  The woman suffered injuries in the attack.

Latin was arrested by Brenham Police on Highway 290 East.

Among the 23 other indictments returned by the Grand Jury, this week:

19-year old Astin Rashad Henry of Longview on a charge of Sexual Assault.

40-year old Matthew Garrett Polk of Brenham for Burglary of a Habitation.

59-year old Cindy Lynn Sterling of Spring, charged with Theft between $2500-and-$30,000.

31-year old Larry Jerome Corpus and 31-year old Marcus Joseph Fuentes, both of Houston, each on charges of Forgery.

26-year old Germarcus Dontae Earl and 26-year old Jermaine Eugene Evans, both of Houston, each charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.

And eight people were indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance charges, including: 26-year old Charles Nicholas Alsobrook of Brenham; 41-year old Marilee Bell Brummitt of Brenham; 54-year old Randy Eugene Clayton of Brenham; 36-year old Luke Wayne Harrison of Burton; 49-year old Shannon Michelle Obryan of Brenham; 48-year old Stephan Lemos Otero of Brenham; 44-year old Mary Melissa Rickman of Brenham; and, 40-year old Jason Rios of Brenham.
