TODDLER DIES AFTER FALLING INTO POOL IN COLLEGE STATION

  

College Station police have reported that a three-year-old girl has died, after falling into a pool over the weekend.

Officers were called out to a home on the 900 block of Carmel Court Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m., after hearing a toddler had accidentally fallen into a pool.  Authorities said family members had been performing CPR on the toddler before they arrived, but she was not responding.

She was taken to the College Station Medical Center, and then to Texas Children’s Hospital, but after days of extensive treatment, the child passed away.  The case is still being investigated, but no signs point to foul play.
