CONTRACTOR TO BEGIN 24 HOUR OPERATIONS ON FM 389

TxDOT reports that their contractor repaving FM 389 near Brenham will begin around the clock operations beginning next Monday.  The operations are intended to expedite the removal of the remaining pavement and are expected to take 5 days.  Motorists who travel this area will encounter flaggers with one-way operations controlled by a pilot vehicle through this work zone and should expect some minor delays.  Persons traveling on FM 389 report that they are already encountering flaggers and pilot vehicles.  This $4.2 million rehab work of FM 389 is contracted to Angel Brothers Enterprises out of Navasota.

  1. It is an Aweful mess! We were driving last Saturday evening and going very slowly and when the pavement ended there were no warning signs or anything! And it was so horrible it was barely even drivable; I cannot see how a car could have even been able to drive down that stretch at all! I hope this company will not be considered for future road work.

  2. So the people that live in the work zone won’t get any slee due to the noise..y’all are so thoughtful. Thanks for thinking of your residents! ????

  3. I am completely disgusted with how they work. They stand there all day and don’t do anything. You get flagged around work that’s not happening. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. That company should be ashamed of themselves. That job should have gone to someone more capable of getting the job done.

  4. If it’ll take them five days to remove the concrete, how many months will it take to replace it?

  5. I drive this road every day and it has been awful!!!!! They seem to be going backwards in progress instead of moving forward. I agree with Brenhamite to never have this company do anymore work with this County.

  6. BRENHAMITE YOU THOUGHT ANGEL BROTHERS WERE SLOW, YOU SHOULD TAKE A RIDE DOWN TO THE DOME AND SEE WEBBER OR WILLIAMS BROTHERS. FACT OF THE ITS ROAD CONSTRUCTION NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO. DEAL WITH IT

  7. I sure hope the powers that be think twice about ever using this company again for any road project in Washington County.
