“IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING” TRAINING SATURDAY IN BRENHAM
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the public to look inside the mind of a public shooter with a training session this weekend.
The training, sponsored by the Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff’s Association of Texas, will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cowboy Church in Brenham. Lunch will be provided.
Leading the session will be retired DPS inspector Marx Howell, who will discuss the behavioral red flags of church, school, and workplace shooters. Information offered will give attendees knowledge on how to recognize and what to do in potentially dangerous situations.
The training is available for free to citizens, teachers, and peace officers. Officers will receive four hours of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) credit for completing the session.
Cowboy Church is located in Brenham on 4400 Highway 105. To RSVP, call or text 979-830-5605.
