WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER ROAD AND BRIDGE FACILITY CONTRACTS
Washington County Commissioners will consider a pair of contracts related to the new Road and Bridge facility at their meeting Tuesday.
Commissioners will look at a contract from Hughes Tank Company, Inc. for a 12,000 gallon fuel tank, as well as a contract with Petroleum Solutions, Inc. for fuel farm equipment.
The new facility is being built on 21 acres of property on Highway 36 North, and will house the Road and Bridge department, rural addressing and environmental services. County officials broke ground at the site last April, and expect the building to be completed this spring.
After adjourning from their regular meeting, commissioners will meet in workshop to discuss the 2020 Census with Ray Daugbjerg, the head of Washington County’s Complete Count Committee.
Also in court, commissioners will:
- Open sealed bids for requests for proposals for administrative services, and requests for qualifications for engineering services, related to the 2020 Texas County Transportation Infrastructure Fund administered by TxDOT.
- Consider an order affecting representation of indigent defendants in county court for Washington County.
- Consider approval of contracts with four attorneys to represent indigent defendants in Washington County District Court.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
