BLINN SHUTTING DOWN ON-CAMPUS SERVICES AT ALL CAMPUSES

Following Brazos County’s shelter-in-place order, Blinn College has announced it will no longer offer on-campus services at any of its campus locations, including those outside of Brazos County.

Blinn’s on-campus computer labs, testing centers, learning centers, and writing centers are closed indefinitely, and the College is asking students and visitors to not come to campus.  Courses and services will continue for students in an online format.

The College will also strictly limit the personnel allowed to work on campus.  Employees are asked to coordinate with their supervisors to determine their work arrangements.

Blinn Chancellor Dr. Mary Hensley said, while Blinn College is considered an essential government service and thus exempted from Brazos County’s shelter-in-place order, this decision was made to protect the health and safety of the entire Blinn community.

Dr. Hensley thanked Blinn’s administrators, faculty, and staff for working “day and night to ensure that Blinn can continue the Spring semester and help students reach their educational goals”.  She also thanked students for their patience and understanding during this time.
