WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING DROWNING OF TWO-YEAR-OLD IN FAMILY POOL
A two-year-old child has died from what the Washington County Sheriff’s Office believes was an accidental drowning.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded Tuesday night shortly after 9:15 p.m. to a home in the 6400 block of Hummingbird Road, west of Brenham. Deputies assisted Washington County EMS at the scene with the child, who was not breathing after accidentally drowning in the family pool.
After attempting to resuscitate the child, authorities provided transport to the hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
