WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO REVIEW POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR E-911 DIRECTOR

Washington County Commissioners will consider updates to the position description of the director for Washington County E-911 at their meeting Tuesday.

Commissioners are considering the update following the departure of E-911 Director Kristi Stamnes, whose last day with the department was Friday.  She had served in the position since January 1, 2017, and has accepted a 911 position in Alabama.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners will consider approval of a temporary assignment pay (TAP) policy for Washington County EMS.  The policy seeks to provide compensation for employees who are required to temporarily fill in for an employee in a higher class.

According to the agenda packet, the policy is intended to be used when paramedics, rescue paramedics or lieutenants cover for higher positions.  TAP for all scenarios would be an increase of $2 per hour for the temporary assignment tour.  Only members who are appropriately clinically credentialed and operationally trained can receive TAP.

Commissioners will also consider:

  • A proclamation declaring October 29th as Think Pink Thursday in Washington County.
  • A clinical agreement with Baylor Scott & White Clinic for paramedic clinic internships with Dr. William Loesch.
  • The voting of candidates for the Washington County Tax Appraisal District Board of Directors.
  • Granting permission to the county engineer to advertise for bids for one used motor-grader.
  • Granting approval, conditional approval or disapproval of a final plat for The Farm Houses of Pleasant Hill subdivision, which include 10 residential lots and one road.
  • A replat for Lot 23 in the Chappell Hills subdivision in Precinct 2.
  • Formal notice from PGMS for a road bore at 2041 Strangmeier Road for a 2-inch casing for a 1-inch water service line in Precinct 3.
  • Formal notice from GeoSouthern Chalk II, LLC for a temporary above-ground fresh water line to be laid within the right of way of Cedar Oaks Drive, Forrest Lane, Quarry Road, Christmas Road and Old Gay Hill Road in Precinct 3.
  • A presentation from Washington County Historical Commission Chair Tom Stevens and the monthly Washington County Expo report.
  • A 60-day extension of 113 excess vacation hours for Amy Klussmann with Washington County EMS.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
