DEADLINE MONDAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE FOR MARCH PRIMARY

  

Monday is the last day to register to vote in the March primary election.

Voter registration applications must be turned in at the elections office in the Washington County Courthouse by 5 p.m. on Monday.  Voters who are sending applications by mail must have them postmarked by January 31^st.

Mailed applications must be sent to: Elections, 100 East Main Street, Suite 105, Brenham, TX 77833.

Elections Administrator Carol Jackson reminds voters that the same deadline applies for anyone who has moved and has not changed their address.

Anyone can check whether they are registered to vote by calling the elections office at 979-277-6264.  They can also visit the Secretary of State’s website at www.votetexas.gov or www.vote.org.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is February 18^th.

Early voting will begin on February 14^th and run through February 25^th.  Election Day is March 1^st.
