MEMORIAL RECEPTION SATURDAY FOR 4 STAR CONCERT HALL OWNER JOHN ELFORD
A memorial reception is being held today (Saturday) for the late owner of 4 Star Concert Hall in downtown Brenham.
The celebration of life for John Elford will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the venue, located at 209 South Market Street. The reception will also be available via Zoom.
Elford died unexpectedly on January 25th at his home in Brenham at the age of 69.
A career contractor and lifelong musician, Elford oversaw the renovation of the building at the corner of Market Street and Commerce Street that formerly served as the laundry facilities for St. Anthony’s Hotel. He purchased the historic building in 2016 and reopened it in 2018 as a live music destination and sports bar, which has since hosted numerous shows and other events.
