ACCIDENT AT HIGHWAY 290-FM 1371 IN CHAPPELL HILL SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL

One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Chappell Hill.

Just before 7:30 p.m., firefighters from Brenham and Chappell Hill responded to a crash with entrapment at Highway 290 East and FM 1371.  Units arrived and found a two-vehicle crash with one person trapped inside a pickup truck.

Firefighters used extrication tools to remove the door and assisted Washington County EMS in removing the patient, who was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.  No other injuries were reported.

The eastbound lane of Highway 290 was closed for nearly half an hour.
