Rankin takes over for Wende Ragonis Anderson, who resigned January 31

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has named their next President and Chief Executive Officer.

Jamie Rankin will be taking over the position formerly held by Wende Ragonis Anderson, who stepped down from the role on January 31 in order to increase her involvement in other community boards and advisory opportunities.

According to Board President, Dr. John Turner, the decision to hire Rankin was unanimous.

Under the CEO role, Rankin will take over running the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, which represents over 750 businesses in the community.

Rankin is a graduate of Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Development.

She has also been involved on the board of several local organizations in Washington County.

This includes sitting on the board for the Washington County Boys & Girls Club, co-chair of the Camp for All Burton Gala as well as the Camp for All – Camp Friends Board, Secretary of the Brenham Maifest Board, an advisory board member for the Brenham Game Changers, and past President of the Washington County A&M Club.
