AUTO THEFT LEADS TO ARREST OF KATY WOMAN

A possible theft of an automobile lead to an arrest on multiple charges Saturday night.

Brenham Police report that Saturday at approximately 9:10 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a possible stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Highway 290 East. The driver, Lindsay Dyan Cooper, 37 of Katy, was placed in custody for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, 5 active warrants out of Harris County that included possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and three counts of theft of mail.  She was also charged locally with possession of a controlled substance, possession of 50 or more items of fraudulent identification, and failure to identify or give false information about a fugitive.  Cooper was transported and booked in Washington County Jail where her bond was set at over $250,000 by Judge Zwiener.
