CUBETTES AND LADY PANTHERS BOTH SUFFER LOSSES ON TUESDAY NIGHT

FULSHEAR BEATS BRENHAM 3-1

After dropping the first two sets, the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team tried to rally back on the road against Fulshear, but ultimately fell in four sets.

Right now, the Cubettes are playing without starter Brooke Bentke, who is currently out with an injury.

Fulshear won the first set 25-15 and the second set 25-18.  Brenham came back and won the third set 26-24.  Fulshear came back and won the fourth set 25-21.

Charli Crowson lead the way for the Cubettes with 12 kills, 8 digs, and 12 assists. Hannah Weiss added 8 kills. Averi Frazier dished out 14 assists.

Next up, the Cubettes will be taking part in the Battle of the Brazos Tournament that runs Thursday-Saturday.

SCHULENBURG BEATS BURTON 3-0

The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team lost a hard fought match at home to Schulenburg 3-0.

Schulenburg won all three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-23.

Paige Fritsch had 41 digs, Kelsie Hohlt finished with 25 digs, Reagan Roemer added 23 digs, and Amaya Williams added 12 digs.

Victoria Wiesepape had 8 kills and 8 digs. Mycah Symank finished with 10 digs and 31 assists.  Liesha Aguilar had 13 kills.

Burton now gets ready for the Rice Consolidated Tournament.  The Lady Panthers open the tournament tomorrow (Thursday) against Fayetteville at 9am, followed by Ganado at 10am, and Wharton at noon.

  • Fayetteville defeated Anderson-Shiro 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, and 25-20)
  • Huntsville downed Caldwell 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, and 25-21)

  1. Brooke Bentke is on the All Greater Houston Pre-Season Team, but she is not showing up in the statistics.
