ROOFERS SOLICITING BUSINESS IN BELLVILLE AFTER STORMS

The Bellville Police Department is receiving reports this (Saturday) morning of roofing companies going door to door soliciting in the wake of the severe thunderstorms that pounded the area on Friday.
According to Bellville Police, soliciting door to door requires a permit from the city. No permits have been issued since Friday, and Bellville City Hall does not re-open until Monday.
Therefore, no company has been granted permission to go door to door.
Anyone who receives a visit from one of these companies is asked to contact the Bellville Police Department at 979-865-3111, and they will send an officer over to check it out.
