SEALY MAN INDICTED ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES

  

A Sealy man has been indicted for child pornography.

35-year-old Jacob Timothy Janish was indicted last week by the Austin County Grand Jury for Possession of Child Pornography – Over 500 Visual Depictions, a first degree felony; Sexual Performance by a Child Under 14 – Produce, Direct or Promote, a second degree felony; and two counts of Invasive Visual Recording, both state jail felonies.

Janish was arrested on the charges on January 24th.  According to the indictment forms provided by the Austin County District Attorney’s Office, the offenses occurred between October 4, 2022 and December 12, 2023.

The indictments allege that Janish possessed or accessed visual material with 500 or more depictions of children under 18 engaging in sexual conduct.  They also accuse him of producing, directing or promoting a performance that included sexual conduct by a child younger than 14.  In addition, the indictments claim he electronically recorded visual images in a bathroom without the subjects’ consent.

Janish remains in the Austin County Jail on $350,000 bond.

Janish was among 12 people indicted last week.  The others include:

56-year-old Glenn Allen Meyer, for Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact.

23-year-old Lyvan Ferro-Plasencia, for Fraudulent Possession/Use of Identifying Information 50 or More Items, and Fraudulent Possession/Use of Credit or Debit Cards 50 or More.

47-year-old Teresa Lourdes Tamez, for Theft of Property Less than $2,500 with 2 or More Previous Convictions.

30-year-old Cameron Wayne Herzog, for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

47-year-old Roderick Cook and 39-year-old Rafael Porras Salinas, both for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

41-year-old Damedrick Deshawn Lane, 39-year-old Christopher Leon Mancle, 39-year-old Nicole Yvetta Miller, 18-year-old Xander Lee Richard and 24-year-old Jonathon Stilwell, all for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
