FAITH MISSION SUMMER SMART-CARE KIDS PROGRAM UNDERWAY
Faith Mission has started another year of its Sensational Summer SMART-CARE Kids program.
This is the 18th year of Faith Mission’s partnership with Brenham ISD to serve local youth via tutoring and mentoring so they can reach their full potential. SMART-CARE stands for Science, Math, Art, Reading and Technology - Cultural Academic Recreation and Enrichment.
The summer program began on Monday, with students visiting the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus and Blinn College nursing program to learn about women in the world of science and math. On Tuesday, students traveled to Houston to see the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Miller Outdoor Theatre.
The program will host educational and cultural activities every Monday and Tuesday for the month of June, including another trip to RELLIS for robotics and drones, the NASA Space Center in Houston, the Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown and the Kemah Boardwalk.
