The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management said Monday night that the Hudson Fire was 60 percent contained, and that crews would remain onsite to patrol the fire and maintain containment lines.

Because of the increase in containment, evacuation notices were lifted, except for homes off of Pines Park Drive.  Around 60 homes were evacuated initially.

The wildfire started on Sunday and is burning between Bastrop State Park and Buescher State Park.  According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the wildfire started because of a nearby structure fire.  There have been no other reports of structure damage or injuries.

Governor Greg Abbott on Monday announced that the Texas Division of Emergency Management has deployed over 90 first responders and more than 60 equipment assets to Bastrop County.
