GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PLAYOFF PICTURE

With tonight (Tuesday) being the final night of the regular season for Girls High School Basketball in Texas, let's take a look at where the local teams stand.

DISTRICT 17-5A

Brenham has been eliminated. A&M Consolidated hosts Huntsville tonight (Tuesday). Both of those teams are currently tied for First Place. The winner goes into the playoff as the #1 Seed, and the loser goes in as the #2 seed.

Meanwhile, College Station has already locked up third place in the district. They are off tonight (Tuesday). Bryan Rudder hosts Montgomery. Rudder has already clinched fourth place.

DISTRICT 26-2A

Mumford has clinched first place and Bremond has clinched second place. Burton can lock up third place with a win over Somerville, or a Snook loss to Mumford. Snook is in fourth place, and needs to beat Mumford and for Somerville to beat Burton to finish in a tie with Burton for third.

DISTRICT 22-4A

Smithville can clinch the district championship with a win over Bellville. La Grange is playing at Navasota tonight (Tuesday). The winner will get second place, while the loser will get third place. The final spot is between Bellville, Caldwell, and Giddings. It will probably have to go to the tiebreakers to determine who the fourth seed is going to be.

DISTRICT 12-6A

Bryan has a bye this (Tuesday) evening. They await the result of tonight's (Tuesday's) game between Harker Heights and Waco Midway. If Midway wins, Bryan will be the fourth seed. However, if Harker Heights wins, Bryan would then finish tied with Midway for third.

DISTRICT 21-4A

Sealy is at Harmony School of Discovery-Katy tonight (Tuesday). Sealy can lock up the second seed with a win.

DISTRICT 19-3A

Lexington has already clinched the number three seed in the district.

DISTRICT 23-3A

Anderson-Shiro can clinch the district championship with a win over Crockett this (Tuesday).

DISTRICT 24-3A

Brazos Wallis and Hempstead have both been eliminated.

DISTRICT 25-3A

Columbus is at Yoakum. Tidehaven has clinched the district championship Columbus is battling it out with four other team for the remaining three playoff spots.

DISTRICT 29-1A

Round Top Carmine has locked up first place. Fayetteville is in second place. Richards is the third place team. Dime Box is the fourth place team.
