PRESIDENT GEORGE & BARBARA BUSH TO BE HONORED BY FOUR CHAPLAINS

The George Bush Presidential Library is set to host the 2020 Legion of Honor Medal Presentation next month.

The Legion of Honor Awards, presented by members of the Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation, publicly recognize and honor citizens whose lives model the giving spirit and unconditional service to community, nation, and humanity without regard to race, religion, or creed.

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale will award the Legion of Honor Gold Medallion posthumously to President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush.  The award will be accepted by their grandson, Texas Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush.

The Gold Medallion is the highest and most prestigious award presented by the organization; presented to a person whose leadership has brought their actions to National or International attention, and whose lives epitomizes the spirit of the sacrifice of the Four Chaplains.

The Gold Medallion has been given to other notable individuals such as; President Jimmy Carter, Marian Anderson, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale and comedian Bob Hope.

George P. Bush will receive The Legion of Honor Bronze Medallion, granted for contributions to the well-being of others at the Regional or National level.
