GRIMES COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING BURGLARIES
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is looking for suspects that committed multiple vehicle burglaries on Tuesday.
A Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a reported theft located at the 1400 block of Highway 105 East in Plantersville.
Upon arrival, the deputy found that four large electrical bucket trucks had been burglarized.
According to Sheriff Don Sowell, approximately $30,000 in equipment was reported stolen.
Investigators discovered that a GPS tracker had been attached to some of the stolen items.
Members of the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, the Stagecoach Police Department, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate around $10,000 worth of the stolen items at two locations in the Stagecoach area.
The property has been returned to their respective owners.
Sowell said that the case remains under a further investigation.
