CRASH LEADS TO CALL FOR WASHDOWN FOR CHAPPELL HILL VFD

The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to an accident call on Sunday.

Just after 7 p.m., volunteers were dispatched to a crash without entrapment in the area of Old Chappell Hill Road and Chappell Gate.

Firefighters arrived and were informed by law enforcement that the roadway needed to be washed down after oil had been spilled from a previous crash.  A vehicle had gone through a metal fence as well.

Units cleaned the oil off of the roadway to prevent further accidents.  They cleared the scene a few minutes before 7:45 p.m.
