ASSAULT, DWI AMONG CHARGES FOR THREE ARRESTED BY WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE ON SATURDAY

  

Three people were arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday on charges including assault and DWI.

Around 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to an assault in the 400 block of New Year’s Creek Lane.  According to the sheriff's office, the victim told deputies he had been assaulted by his brother and had sustained minor injuries.  61-year-old David Leon Moore of Brenham was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.  Moore also had active warrants for Motion to Revoke Probation – Assault Causing Bodily Injury, No Driver’s License, and Parking Certain Places Prohibited.  Moore was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked without incident.

Nearing 8:30 p.m., Deputy Zavala initiated a traffic stop for a reported reckless driver on Highway 290 West and Industrial Boulevard.  The driver reportedly displayed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.  25-year-old Natalie Ann Brewer of Katy was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Close to 11 p.m., Deputy Pena was dispatched to a disturbance in the 9800 block of Valley Forge Lane.  Upon arrival, the deputy interviewed a female victim and documented her injuries.  47-year-old Leonard Ray Morgan of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
