Crowds at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library enjoyed activities like a petting zoo, face painting, snow cones and balloon art.  They also had the opportunity to connect with local resources and service organizations.

As part of CASA’s Cake Smash Challenge, Washington County Sheriff Trey Holleway took a cake to the face to help raise money for CASA’s work to advocate for children in foster care.  The fundraiser brought in over $11,300.

Other local officials in attendance included State Representative Trey Wharton and Brenham City Councilmember Leah Cook.

Booths were hosted by community partners such as the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Brenham Parks Department, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Faith Mission, the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, The Community Closet, Prasek’s Family Smokehouse, Washington County EMS, Brenham Fire Department, Brazos Valley Food Bank, WIC, Brenham Children’s Chorus, and Hands of Hope.

CASA thanks event sponsors Tegeler Toyota, Blue Bell Creameries, Alegacy, Zippy J’s, and Chelsea Build, along with HNJ Photography and Barfield Photography for capturing the day’s fun.
