SHERIFF’S OFFICE BOOKS IN SIX OVER WEEKEND ON CHARGES INCLUDING TERRORISTIC THREAT, INTOXICATION

  

Six people were arrested between Friday and Saturday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 9000 block of Highway 290 East.  Deputies made contact with a male subject who reportedly displayed signs of intoxication.  39-year-old Kurt Adam Benton of La Porte was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication.

Approaching 10:30 a.m., Corporal Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 7400 block of Highway 36 North for an obscured license plate.  The passenger, 22-year-old David Anthony Deleon of Brenham, was taken into custody due to active warrants.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail for Terroristic Threat Causing Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury.

At 3:15 p.m., Corporal Zavala conducted a traffic stop in the area of FM 50 and Sam Houston Road for speeding.  The sheriff’s office says the driver, 63-year-old Ricky Charles Griffin of Washington, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license, so he was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.

Shortly after 9:15 p.m., Deputy Holmes responded to an accident in the 2200 block of FM 1948.  According to the sheriff’s office, the driver displayed signs of intoxication.  45-year-old Dusty Carl Kasprowicz of Burton was taken to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

At 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Corporal Vasquez initiated a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Highway 36 North for speeding.  The sheriff’s office said the driver did not have a driver’s license, so he was taken into custody.  30-year-old Carlos Alberto Alfredo Reveles Rangel of Brenham was transported to the Washington County Jail for No Driver’s License.

Around 9:15 p.m., Deputy Faske conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of FM 3456 and FM 332 for failure to stop at a designated stop sign.  The driver allegedly showed signs of intoxication.  27-year-old Noel Jesus Martin Pat of Brenham was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd and Running a Stop Sign.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
